Regretting that it has been so long since they have seen one another, noting "I calld once in the view of dining, & once in the view of Supping with you, both times unfortunately." Mentioning that he has "had another Vexation, from the sight of a paper of verses said to be Dr. Swift's, which has done more by praising me than all the Libels could by abusing me, Seriously troubled me." Mentioning mutual acquaintances.
